Africa Energy Forum

Within the framework of the export promotion activities of the Cleantech Kvarken project, an ”African
Energy Forum” was organized in Vaasa on March 15th , 2016, during the EnergyWeek.

The forum gathered 158 participants and keynote speakers such as H.E. Mr. Mohammed Ariad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Mr. Bonny Haufiku, Ambassador, Republic of Namibia and Mr. John Titus Director of Energy, Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy.

The current situation was well summarized by H.E. Mr. Bonny Haufiku when he stated that: “The future is in Africa, but the companies here are sleeping “. In order to market the competence of the Cleantech Kvarken region companies, the Cleantech Kvarken project explores the possibilities to organise “Energy Days” in Namibia in 2017.
