Earlier this week, BioCools CEO, Maria Forssell, was invited to give a presentation to the UN agency, United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Stockholm. BioCool SafeWater, developed by BioCool, is a pill that eliminates harmful microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses and parasites from drinking water. The microorganisms are killed in a safe and environmentally friendly way to mimic the body’s way of defending itself.
UNOPS is a procurement and purchasing department of the UN’s relief and humanitarian assistance. BioCool has previously contributed to help in Syria, Ghana and Nepal, and now hope that through the UN, will be able to contribute more to improving the quality of life of others with their knowledge and innovative solutions.
On the blog DI Gasell, Maria writes about the meeting at the UN. “In line with our values at BioCool, I chose to also emphasize the importance of cooperating together to achieve more and help more. A situation that goes hand in hand with UNOPS ambition to be rethinking collaboration.”
BioCool will also participate in the UNOPS conference in Copenhagen on 14-16 July where the program is exclusively dedicated to water.
