Estonian Delegation Visited Vasa, Umeå and Skellefteå

A delegation of 10 persons from West Estonia visited Vasa, Umeå and Skellefteå - 1 day in each city- during 3 days on October 10-12, 2017. The delegation included representatives from the Investment Agency in West Estonia, Haapsalu City, Saaremaa Development Center, Ollmann GR Ltd, AS Tootsi Turvas, AS Fortum Eesti, AS Paikre and Pärnu Vesi.

In Vasa the guests visited and were introduced to the activities of Stormossen, Westenergy, Vaasan vesi and Kustens Skogscentral. They also met with Viexpo, Vebic and local companies from Vasa region, interested in energy and cleantech business in Estonia.

In Umeå, the visitors met with BioFuel Region, the municipal waste and water company; Vakin, and Dåva combined heat and power plant. In Skellefteå the delegation visited the biogas plant, Tuvan and presentations were held by Bio Fuel Region, the energy company; Skellefteå Kraft and Node Pole. Bioendev, Green Exergy and Eco-Oil were local companies represented from the region.

The visit was very fruitful and hopefully the contacts taken will lead to in-depth cooperation in the future.
